Tech giant Samsung on Wednesday unveiled its five latest “Super Big Television” models in the Philippines, reaching up to 115 inches and featuring some of the brand’s most advanced display technologies, along with artificial intelligence (AI)-powered features.
The new TV lineup includes the largest model in the bunch, the 115-inch Super Big Neo QLED (Quantum Dot Light Emitting Diode) TV, priced at P799,999, and the 100-inch Micro RGB Vision AI TV, priced at P399,999.
It also launched the entry-level 98-inch Crystal UHD (Ultra High Definition) TV priced at P159,999, the 100-inch Neo QLED TV priced at P349,999, and the 100-inch Mini LED TV priced at P219,999.
Samsung is positioning the new TV models as partners for Filipino families’ varying entertainment needs, making the viewing experience “feel bigger and more immersive than ever.”
The launch comes as the market shifts toward larger TV screens, Mahir Al-Rubah, Samsung Philippines’ new head for VD (visual display), said.
“Today, we are going bigger and better with our Super Big TVs,” Mr. Al-Rubah said during the launch event. “We have seen a big shift in market demand, going towards some bigger sizes.”
He said Samsung also considers factors such as resolution, refresh rate, and AI capabilities as TV displays continue to get bigger.
During the launch event, Samsung gave members of the media a first look at its latest TV models, including the 100-inch Micro RGB Vision AI TV, which the company described as its most advanced TV technology to date.
The model combines micro-sized RGB backlighting with AI-powered processing to deliver more precise colors, deeper contrast, and enhanced 4K picture quality.
It also features Vision AI Companion, which provides AI-powered assistance and allows users to interact with content directly on the TV.
Samsung also gave a first look at at least three of its latest gaming monitors, which feature high-resolution displays and high refresh rates.
